WiFi-based speed tests are not accurate and can't be used to accurately measure speed. We must ask that you only test from a laptop or PC that is connected to your router with an Ethernet cable. Make sure that no other programs are running on your computer, and that no-one else is using the internet. Such tests are heavily affected by the quality of the location that you're connecting to, and are also affected by how quick or busy your own computer is. While speed tests are never totally accurate (becuase you're just measuring how quickly information can sent from the speedtest company's machine to yours), these tests can at least help you to understand if the speed of your connection is close to what it should be.
